The Sapporo Consulate's consular district includes Hokkaido and four prefectures in the Tohoku region: Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi and Akita, covering one-third of the land mass and one-tenth of the population of Japan. The Public Affairs Section also serves Yamagata and Fukushima Prefectures. |
